Cookies

Cookies are small data or text files placed on your local computer by websites and applications. Such cookies can have different purposes: there are technical cookies (e.g. for keeping track of language settings), session cookies (temporary cookies that expire after a single session) and tracking cookies (cookies that follow and track your behaviour on the internet in order to provide you with a more optimal user experience).

The Belgian Electronic Communications Act of 13 June 2005 contains some provisions on cookies and their use on websites. The law is a transposition of the European e-Privacy Directive, which means that cookie legislation may be implemented differently in other European member states.

GR Solutions BV is based in Belgium and therefore follows Belgian legislation on cookies.

Purpose and usefulness of cookies

By using the website, the visitor agrees to the use of cookies. Cookies help GR Solutions BV to optimise your visit to the website, to remember technical choices (e.g. a language choice, a newsletter, et cetera) and to show you more relevant services and offers. If you prefer not to have cookies, as a visitor you are free to disable cookies by adjusting your browser settings ("Management of cookies").

Types of cookies used by GR Solutions BV

We distinguish between the following types of cookies, according to their purposes:

  • Essential/Strictly necessary cookies:

These cookies are necessary for the website to function and cannot be disabled in our systems. They are usually set only in response to actions taken by you, such as setting your privacy preferences, logging in or filling in forms. They are necessary for proper communication and they facilitate navigation (e.g. returning to a previous page, etc.).

  • Non-essential cookies:

These cookies are not in themselves necessary for the website to function, but they do help us offer an improved and personalised website.

    • Functional cookies:

These cookies enable the website to provide enhanced functionality and personalisation. They can be set by us or by third-party providers whose services we have added to our pages.

    • Analytical cookies:

These cookies allow us to track visits and traffic so that we can measure and improve the performance of our website. They help us know which pages are most and least popular and how visitors move through the website.

    • Targeting / advertising cookies:

These cookies may be set by our advertising partners through our website.
They may be used by those companies to compile a profile of your interests and show you relevant ads on other sites.

We use both our own cookies and cookies from carefully selected partners with whom we work and who advertise our services on their websites.

  • First-party cookies are those posted by us on our websites.
  • Third-party cookies are set by a domain other than that of the website visited (e.g. Google Analytics cookies).
  • Session cookies are deleted when a user closes their browser.
  • Persistent cookies remain on the user's device for a certain period of time (e.g. 1 day, 1 month, 2 years...).

Google Adwords

We use Google AdWords, which allows us to advertise our website in Google's search results and on third-party websites. To do so, Google places a cookie in your device's browser, which automatically uses a pseudonymous cookie ID based on the pages you have visited to enable interest-based advertising. More information about advertising and Google can be found at: https://policies.google.com/technologies/ads.

Facebook Pixel

We use Facebook's "Facebook pixel". This allows user behaviour to be tracked after they are redirected to Gr Solutions BV's website by clicking on a Facebook ad. This allows us to measure the effectiveness of Facebook ads for statistical and market research purposes. The data collected in this way is anonymous to us. We use pixel data to ensure ads are shown to the right people and to build an ad audience. Go to http://www.aboutads.info/choices/ If you want to disable Facebook cookies in your browser.

LinkedIn Ads

We use the LinkedIn Ads cookie to track the success of LinkedIn ads. This cookie is an analytics tool that allows us to measure the effectiveness of ads by understanding the actions people take on our website. LinkedIn uses cookie data to enable login to LinkedIn on our website and/or to enable the LinkedIn 'sharing' feature. Go to https://www.linkedin.com/psettings/guest-controls/retargeting-opt-out If you want to disable LinkedIn cookies in your browser.

Please read carefully our privacy policy for more information on the processing of personal data by Gr Solutions BV.

Management of cookies

Make sure cookies are enabled in your browser. If you wish to visit the GR Solutions BV website, it is recommended that you enable cookies. However, you are free to disable them in your browser settings if you wish. To enable or disable cookies, you need to adjust your browser settings (via the "settings" or "options" tab). The links below will give you more information on how to manage your cookies.

Visitors' rights

As cookies may constitute processing of personal data, you, as a data subject, have the right to the lawful and secure processing of personal data. More information on visitors' rights can also be found in the privacy statement.
